Poor EVR rendering (1 Viewer)

I agree that a server OS should not be used as a multimedia playback platform. However, I need a server for real life needs, and thought I could save expense (hardware and electricity) by running my Mediacenter on it as well. It almost works perfectly ... If only I did not have to run MePo on the admin account.

dshowhelper (and MP generally, AFAIK) doesn't know/doesn't care about admin rights etc. (but it looks like 'desktop composition' behaves differently - or the settings are different - for the 'non root' user, for some reason). Maybe it virtualises the displays in some way ?
