Poor video quality with live TV (2 Viewers)

Have you tried the hauppauge tweak tool?

There is a line in your log that says setvideobitrate min:100 max:300
I do not know if that is saying this is what you card is set to,
but if it is then the quality would be low.
Mine is set to min:8000 max:12000 VBR.

Also, not sure if it still happens much, but sometimes the hauppauge
settings would revert to defaults after a PC restart.

    Hi,

    As patrick already outlined, your logfile shows that the bitrate of your card is set wrong. So it's clearly an issue with the quality settings of your tvcard. Make a screenshot of the Quality settings tab from your tvcard, and post the contents of your card_cardX.xml from the database/ directory.

    FWIW, my PVR500MCE works as expected with MP (and with high bitrates the quality is very good) so this must be a configuration issue.
