Quick question: is it at all possible to record other audio streams than the first one (e.g. the english audio channel when a show is broadcast in german and englisch (and german ac3))?. I don't see any options for that, so I guess one can only record the first audio stream.

It would be nice to have, but I don't think it is possible to achieve, at least with one card. When you select an audio PID to be received your tuner is setup for the audio stream of your selection.
I quess theoretically it is possible if you have lets say two cards, each streaming the selected audio and then some tools will be required to extract the audio from one of them and add it into another stream which has already video and different language audio.
