I need my HTPC to wake up from standby (S3) when there is a scheduled TV recording.
What is the best power management plugin or software and how do you have it configured?
I looked at ForTheRecord but it is overkill for my needs and I had some issues getting the EPG working with it.

i use PowerScheduler works great for me.
It wakes when it needs to record and sleeps when little or no traffic is hitting the interface.

I also use the built-in power scheduler, and I am running 1.0.2. It works great for me too. I use S4, not S3, but you can select either one. Setup is slightly tricky in that you need to turn it on in the TV server config and also turn it on in MP config. Also, I put defrag and hulu in the "do not sleep when running" box.

I do not use the patched version linked above, just the one that shipped with 1.0.2
