AW: Re: PowerScheduler++ 1.1.3.0 - Stable version for MediaPortal 1.1.3

Sorry. Forgot to enable Extensive Logging in PS++ and to include tv.log. Revised logs attached.
I can see from the Mediaportal logs that the PowerScheduler++ client plugin is loaded on MP start but is not running. Thus the server is not informed that the client is busy with watching recordings and forces standby after 5 minutes (as configured). To tell you why PS++ client plugin is not runnning I need some more information. Could you please check if PS++ client plugin is configured for extensive logging too and then start "MediaPortal Debug-Mode" (no need to watch tv - just start MP and stop it after one minute).

Re: PowerScheduler++ 1.1.3.0 - Stable version for MediaPortal 1.1.3

I just tried to install this and got several errors: "TVServer not installed"

This is accurate, I don't use TVServer - I use the ForTheRecord plugin for tv. Will powerscheduler++ work for me?

and if not, how do I uninstall it, since it has replaced the standard powersceduler plugin?

PowerScheduler++ is not designed for use with For The Record, neither on client nor on server side. To get rid of PowerScheduler++ (and get the old PowerScheduler back) you have to uninstall it with MediaPortal Extension Installer, which can be found in the MediaPortal program group.

I am sorry, but I cannot tell from the logs why the PS++ client plugin is not running. But it could be that your PowerScheduler++ installation is not clean. I would recommend you to repeat PS++ installation and try it again...

Re: PowerScheduler++ 1.1.3.0 - Stable version for MediaPortal 1.1.3

Michael, I think I have finally sorted out my problem. Strangely, being
new to MP, I had never used "expert mode" in MP Configuration
and had therefore never seen PS listed among the plugins. Thanks
to you I was alerted to that and then noticed that PS was not
enabled! Once I enabled it everything worked OK. It explains
your comments about my earlier log. Sorry to have put you to the
unnecessary trouble of looking over my logs. It was worth
persevering to get such a great plugin functioning. Thanks
again.

    You use the normal windows power settings, mine set to standby after 5 minutes, same for server which needs WOL enabled for tv unless singleseat setup.

    Hi Paranoid.
    I've tried that, but something stops my htpc from going into standby and I have spent many hours trying to figure it out but can't.
    So what I had was setup PowerScheduler (not ++) to sleep after 15 minutes, with the force option checked, and this works.
    BUT since I don't have TV Server installed, I can't configure powersceduler to NOT switch off when other programs have been launched with MultiShortcuts.
    Hence, me looking for other options.

    Hi Micheal ...

    not sure if my idea is right in the PS++ thread -

    the "reboot" feature is real cool cous i allways did this (once a week)
    via Task-manager and a small batch-file.

    same thing i do with taskmanager is -
    mySQL-Database-check&repair by resume (also via batch-file).

    or can i say PS++ that it should start the *.bat after resume (will that work also?)
    or maybe it makes sense if such "comand" will be implemented in PS :)?

    if yes i won't need the taskmanager anymore :D
