    I'm trying to use PowerScheduler Plugin since fthe rc1 but without success. After activating the plugin I can't go to standby manually, but only automatically (after the time specified in the plugin configuration). Also in this case a lot of time I see that the command on resume that I've specified will not start and I've error in the tvserver log:

    2008-08-18 23.42.42.578125 [PowerEventThread]: TV service PowerEventThread: Exception: System.NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object.
    at TvEngine.PowerScheduler.PowerScheduler.get_DisAllowShutdown()
    at TvEngine.PowerScheduler.PowerScheduler.SetWakeupTimer()
    at TvEngine.PowerScheduler.PowerScheduler.OnPowerEvent(PowerEventType powerStatus)
    at TvService.Service1.OnPowerEvent(PowerEventType powerStatus)
    at TvService.Service1.PowerEventThreadWndProc(IntPtr hWnd, UInt32 msg, IntPtr wParam, IntPtr lParam)
    at TvService.Service1.GetMessageA(MSG& msg, IntPtr hWnd, Int32 uMsgFilterMin, Int32 uMsgFilterMax)
    at TvService.Service1.PowerEventThread()

    This error happens ALWAYS when for the second time i try to sent the pc to standby manually. The first time i get no errors but in the sìtvserver log i've a message "standby disallowed" (blocked).
    So I'm not happy to use alternatives as pvrscheduler, because i'e a lot of problem with these... There is a way to get the default powerscheduler works? I've always obtained the same error log...
    :D

    I've tried the dll attached in the post but with no result...
    I noticed that also with powerscheduler plugin disabled, if th tvservice will not be stopped before standby, sometimes the pc doesn't resume after the S3 but restart. Stopping the service before suspend the pc wakeup normally.
    I've also tried to use pvr-scheduler, but I noticed that programming a recordings with the option "each time on this channel" onlyone time the pvr-scheduler make the recording...
    I think that the better solution will be a little software that write in the windows scheduled operations an event to wakeup for next recordings, reading from the tvserver database...

    I don't have any problems with Powerscheduler at the moment, using .dll from the thread that I posted link to above.

    Going to standby and wake up for scheduled recordings etc. works fine.

    No, as you can see from my profile system settings, I'm running 1.0 RC1 SVN 19574 :)

    I have no issues with this version so I'm not ready to update just yet, maybe waiting for final.

    Deactivating the option "Reinitialize service at startup" as suggested in other posts I get no errors, but the command to execute before the suspend and after the restart works only for wakeup....

    EDIT: Viewing the PowerScheduler source, as I can see there is no call at the RunExternalCommand("standby")... probabily this is the reason for whic the command before the standby doesn't start...

    I hope that this problem will be solved, because I think that the real (and unique) limit of mediaportal is a poor power management system....
