This is my first post here --- so Hi to everybody!

Tried power scheduler, and it wakes up the computer from standby, records correctly, then shuts down, but powers up the computer again a few seconds later. I did another test over night - the recording was finished, but the computer was on and had crashed.

Any ideas? Has anybody else seen this and been able to find a solution?

Powerscheduler has had some fixes since 0.2.2.0 was released, worth trying a new svn from today. Just download from the link on the homepage.

Ray, thanks for the quick reply. I'll give it a try tonight. What does svn stand for?
Also, I assume these svn's are cummulative, meaning that the latest will contain the features of all previous ones. Is that correct?

BTW, thanks a lot to all the busy MP programmers. Great tool, great work!

MP is now working almost perfectly - thanks guys!
I now want to make Power Scheduler work to save electricity, noise, and wear and tear on the PC. It seems from the logs that Power Scheduler is doing the right thing, but standby fails at the last instant with an alert message on thes screen 'Microsoft eHome Remote control keyboard keys' device is preventing machine entering standby. It suggests updating the device driver. Problem is that I have XP SP2 and the update I found (KB912024) requires KB900325, and this won't install as I do not XP MCE. Any suggestions?

I used the method in this thread to install the drivers. Worked fine on my XP Home system, no errors going into standby. Hope it helps.

Rob: Thanks for the suggestion. I have XP Pro, and the rollup appeared to install OK, but still exhibited the problem. I had previously installed the 'replacement driver', and removed it, so maybe it left something behind. I may install the OS from scratch (as there's not much on the PC) and see if a clean install fixes it - but I have to allow plenty of time for that!
