Hello all. I'm trying to debug a problem i have where my PC is not waking up from S3 state to make scheduled recordings. Firstly, yes i have done an extensive search of this forum plus other mediacentre forums for clues as to what could be causing the problem. Also THIS WAS ALL WORKING FINE a few months ago before i did go-knows-what to my system to screw it up!!
Rather than getting bogged down with talk of what i've tried and not tried at this point in time (as well as attaching log files) - my question is simply this: how can i check that Mediaportal/Powerscheduler has correctly stored an event in Windows that will trigger the PC to wake itself up at the correct time? I've checked the Event Viewer under Control Panel as a friend suggested but there are no log entries relating to waking the PC up. So where is the information stored?! I know it triggers the CMOS timer on the mobo but the request to start the timer must be logged somewhere surely?
Although all advice is welcome, i really just want the answer to the above question instead of suggestions on what the problem could be (at the moment!)
Other info which might be of use... i'm using MPStandbyHandler to close down and start up Mediaportal. Suspend-to-RAM and resume are working flawlessly with the MCE remote. Scheduled recordings working fine with PC left on.
PLEEEEEEEEEEASE would someone reply so that my wife may be happy again (she's suffering Family Guy withdrawal symptoms as i don't like leaving the PC on all through the night)!! Thanks.
Forgot to say I'm using inbuilt TV engine NOT the TV server.
