OK

I am not sure what the problem is here... now

I uninstalled via control panel and add and remove rebooted pc
Reinstall app all ok
Rebooted
And both short cuts on desktop one to open MP on MP config well both open MP config, even if I go to the DIR they both still open the MP config

This is not good...

I'm guessing it's still in the registery and yes I opt for a clean removal

Help please

Many thanks Wayne

HI

OS is Windows XP

The MP Was installed MediaPortalSetup_1.0_RC3_rev20432.exe
Then FOOFARAW_V1.0.8.591 Skin TO WHICH IS POPPED UP A ERROR MESSAGE (not compatiable)
Core Reloaded.602 Skin TO WHICH IS POPPED UP A ERROR MESSAGE (not compatiable)
Then I uninstalled MediaPortalSetup_1.0_RC3_rev20432.exe
All of it's components
Then Reboot PC
Reinstalled MediaPortalSetup_1.0_RC3_rev20432.exe
Then the the app installs but the MP config pop's up on either of the short cuts I can't just get the Stand alone MP up now...

So something is not correct

    Hi I have done that

I have even used a restore point under XP and I still can't not get the app to open correctly, it simply goes to config why.... ?

There is clearly a problem that will need fixing....

I did get this debug error

See the end of this message for details on invoking
just-in-time (JIT) debugging instead of this dialog box.

Can anyone tell me why this App has failed to do a clean UNINSTALL which I believe is preventing the new install, from working correctly

Not sure I get this right, but you are starting MP config when trying to start MP?
--> If everything is not configured correct, config opens
