Problem importing many movies (1 Viewer)

I have a server in the closet with ubuntu on it.
On the server I have 4 different HD that I have mounted in a FTP folder.

I know that MP hade trouble importing movies from folders with a lot of movies in them before but I tried it and it work on most folders but not all.
On one folder I hade to move all movies and the move 10 back at a time. But not even that worked...

I have a number of movies in different folders that MP just wont see.

The missing movies are not ignored, I tried to unignore all but that didnt help. I set the logging to debug and started the importer but I have no Log folder here Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal so that didnt work either.

Any suggestions on why MP doesnt import all movies?

have you checked that you can actually access all the shares and files outside of mediaportal in windows itself? that would be the most likely sistuation. personally i wouldnt use FTP i would use SMB

I did note myself when i recently decided to reimport all my movies it stopped every few hundred, but i just had to reopen the plugin reconfiguration and it would continue..

took about 6 goes to do it

You should find the log folder and post the logs tho if you want any real help.

I think I was a bit unclear. I access the files with a standard smb share. I just mounted all the folder in structure I use as an FTP root as weel.
Its like this:
movies / dvd /
.....................DVD1
.....................DVD2
movies / HD
......................HD1
......................HD1
etc
