I did post this yesterday but thought the title did not indicate that I had a problem!
So trying again:
Discovered Media Portal a week ago and have now got it (ver 0.2.2.0) installed and working. It is brilliant in nearly every way! I say nearly as I have a frustrating problem with scheduled recordings using the HVR-1300 card. I have my satellite box connected via s-video and have set up the epg with my most used satellite channels so I can record from either the internal (Freeview channels) card or via s-video on the analogue part of the 1300. Although I can change channels using the channel up/down keys or by clicking on the epg to select a program that points to internal source or one that points to external source and it works absolutely fine, it will not switch between internal and external when scheduling recordings that mix the two.
For example: I schedule a freeview program from the epg and also an external (satellite program) that starts some time later. The Freeview program records correctly but when the time gets to the external scheduled recording it does not switch to that source. If I do it the other way round then the external program records correctly but then it does not switch to the internal source for the next recording.
If there is a workaround or some way of making it work I would be very happy to know about it!
Thanks to all those responsible for MP as having had a bad experience with MCE this is a revelation - many more features than MCE and ways to configure just about anything - and free!
