This is my first post and I realise that I am meant to post my specs but my problem is only related to a network issue. I have installed MediaPortal 1 RC2 (with TV Server) on one computer in my living room as it is close to my antenna plug. This computer is connected to a network of 5 other computer via Wireless LAN. I have installed MP CLient on another computer, and set the TV Server address to the address of the computer with the TV Server on it. There is no problem viewing TV from the computer with the TV Server installed (as a singleseat), however, when I try view TV from another computer all I get is a black screen. I connects to the server as it does not ask me to check the IP address, but i will not show TV. The strength of the wireless signal is low (24Mbps), would this be a reason. If has anyone else experienced this problem. P.S. I did have another computer (Pentium 4) there running as the server and it streamed perfectly with the same signal strength to at least two other PC's simultaneously (with two tuner cards installed). But I have replaced this PC with an Intel Quad-Core, with 4Gb RAM. This computer does have a 10/100/1000Mbps Network card installed and had some problem connecting it to an old hub over LAN, however, it is now connected over WLAN so this should not be an issue. :thx:
