Need some input. I've worked on this now for a week and still can't solve my issue.
I have MP connected to a motorola HD cable box using HAVA media streamer. The HAVA unit is really great. It takes the Component output of the cable box and streams it on my network and the HAVA client at the PC is seen by MP as a tuner. The HAVA has a built in IR feature so it's a pretty solid solution The problem is that I can not get MP to let me access any channels above about 140 or so.. From 150 up, it forces those channels to be an "EXTERNAL BOX" type of configuration and for some reason MP does not transmitt the channel number with these channels are up. I've tried to hack the channel file but I have yet to successfully accomplish this. A solution would be channels 1 thru 999 9 being treated as simply an internal channel with a simple name and channel number. These all work fine but around 140someitng or so, MP forces new channels out of this simple mode.
I'm using Schedules Direct plugin and tried everyting to get out of this lockout. If I were to change channel 70 for example to be 721 (my hbo HD channel), it works fine so long as the index channel number is under that 140's range.
Is there a solution for this?
