Well i got mediaportal set up properly using ffdshow for decoding and I get 5.1 dolby digital to show up properly when playing a .mkv but when i play a .mkv ripped in DTS surrond i get no sound out of my Denon 888 receiver.
When i play the dts sound encoded rip my receiver changes from Dolby Prologic II to DTS surround but then I see the 5 channels for the input sound flickering on and off and I get nothing coming out of the speakers.
I am using the SAF V4.0 stand alone filters from the mediaportal forums to install ffdshow/haali, etc..
When I run the same .mkv through boxee it plays perfectly with no flickering and good sound
