[no Bug] Problem with firewall settings in 1.3.0 beta (1 Viewer)

Hi,

just tried to setup 1.3.0 beta on my notebook as tv client only. Before there was 1.3.0 alpha installed. So I choosed update and after the setup finished and restart I do not get any contact to tv-server. TV client comes up with the connection window and after reentering the ip address I get the error message that some ports are locked, myslq 3306 and remote 31456?

So, I cleaned MP Client and tried installation a second time. same result!!

Is there a problem in setup 1.3.0 beta client installation when changing firewall settings? I cheked firewall settings and found a tcp and a udp rule for inbound connections fpr my home network???

Or do I have to upgrade tv server from 1.3.0 alpha to 1.3.0 beta, too?

Hi,
TV Server & Client must be same version so yes update both to 1.3.0Beta for this to work.

I have the same problems. All firewalls off for testing, but same errors.
any ideas?

where do you see error messages and what they say exactly?

Client - Win 7 - Beta 1.3
Server - Win 8 - Beta 1.3

After a clean install I can´t connect to the TV Server.
If Mepo on the client starts I get the message: "No connection to TV Server!"
If Mepo on the server starts all works fine.

If I have the name "SERVER" at the TV-Configuration, after a while the message arrived that some ports are locked, myslq 3306 and remote 31456.
If I use the IP (192.168.2.42) from the "Server" MePo is crashing ...
changing in the TV-Config inside MePo it freezes.
changing in the MePo-Configuration : mepo returns to the desktop if it´s ready with starting. In the background mepo is still running (taskmanager says something with Dialog yes/no or sometimes Dialog OK ... ) but I can´t switch to it with ALT+TAB

at both I can hear the sounds from ir-remote so it´s still alive, but it isn´t possible to see anything.


LOGS:
- Cleared
- MePo Starts ...
- "No connection to TV Server!" with "SERVER"
- Changed into SERVER again inside MePo
- ports are locked .....
- changed into 192.168.2.42 it crashed ....
- waiting 30 sec
- Mepo stopping with STRG+ALT+DEL

Can you completely disable firewall and antivirus software while you are on testing?
can you execute "ping Server" on your client commandline shell?
from Logs MP really cannot connect to "Server".

Firewall ; Avira disabled.
ping SERVER and PING 192.168.2.42 are ok.

but it still don´t work.
