I have a 82cm tv (PAL B). Non widescreen @ 60Hz.
I use a Ati Rdeon 9250 videocard.
A problem I have, also with other videocards and TV's, is that it seems impossible to get the whole TV screen filled the way I want.
My tv supports resolutions to 1024x768, but changing the resolution makes no difference. Always the same results. Changing the refreshrates doesn't make any difference either. The result is always the same. If I turn "overscan" on, the outer limits of the desktop are not showing. The desktop is too big for the screen. If I turn "overscan" off, I get a slightly, virtically compressed screen. About 5cm from the top of the screen and 5cm from the bottom of the screen are not used, black. It's like I'm watching a widescreen movie on a 4:3 screen. This wouldn't matter if the screen wasn't vertically compressed. Whitch deforms the screen.
Anyone know a solution?
