Problem with Haupage Wintv PVR-500 MCE (1 Viewer)

Hello,

i know this has been asked and resolved quite a few times in the past. I have search the forums and looked for possible solutions but unfortunatley i couldn't find a solution for my problem.
Anyway here it is.

I recently purchased a Haupage Wintv PVR-500 MCE card.

I have a DreamBox7020 Satellite receiver plugged into the composite inputs of my PVR-500 and on my Dreambox i have it plugged in on the CVBS(Scart output).

I try adding a Channel manualy and on the external tab i selected by External STB and choose Input via CVBS#1 and CVBS#2 and then on the TV cars tab i added the manual channel to my PVR500 but i still cannot get any video or audio.

Any ideas how i and if i can fix this?

this may not apply to you, however I initially had similar problems and blue screens when I initially was using the same card and found out through various (posisbly unconfirmed) posts that the PVR500MCE has massive trouble with any motherboard which has a VIA chipset on it.

I subsequently returned the PVR500 and got a PVR150 (which is supposed to be what the 500 is based on) and it seems to work fine. Absolutely nothing worked for ME to get the 500 to work including bios and chipset firmware upgrades....

i got this working.

i have an intel chipset. Picture and sound comes through ok. Not a great PQ. Especially the colors are so bad when using the CVSB connection compared to the plain AV connector.

Anyway it will not be a good solution for me unless somemone knows of a way to map the channel change from the Sat Receiver to my MCE RC that i use with MP.
