Problem with Moving Articles in Movie Title (i.e. Art of War, The)? (1 Viewer)

It might be that most people do not run into this issue, because they got the removal of articles option disabled.

The reason I loved the option was because it grouped certain series together for me, for example "The Transporter" series, due to the sequels not having the prefix.

Removal of articles 'True' (the following titles are grouped together, showing the sorting as it is done):

Transporter 2 (SortBy = "transporter 2")
Transporter 3 (SortBy = "transporter 3")
The Transporter (SortBy = "transporter the")​

Removal of articles 'False' (the following titles are split due on sorting on Th.. and Tr..):

The Transporter (SortBy = "the transporter")

Transporter 2 (SortBy = "transporter 2")
Transporter 3 (SortBy = "transporter 3")​

I edited the initial post to indicate fixed, because once issue 700 gets implemented it will be perfect

So as I'm studying the "Advanced Settings" -> "MediaPortal GUI" -> "Sorting" -> "Articles for Removal"

I have the default: "the|a|an|ein|das|die|der|les|la|le|el|une|de|het" in there.

Very useful - so that's how I get Die Hard back under 'D'

sjcato, yeah, since I don't have many non-English titled movies, I stripped out all the non-English article remove options as well, so I'm left with:

the|a|an​

It was "Die Hard" for me as well that I noticed it on
