Decided to use the christmas of 2017 to move on from Windows 7, which at the same time meant Moving on from mce.

Decided to try out Mediaportal 2 instead. Got most of it working, but I’m stuck on 2 questions:

    1. Mp2 refuses to play my m4v files. Can I install a codec to solve the problem?

    2. Mp2 fails multiple times, when I try to import tv shows. Shows should by in the right format according to the wiki, but still only 9 tv shows ARD being recognized. When importing the same shows to Plex, more than 30 shows are recognized. I’m out of ideas - what do I need to do to solve this issue?

    Kind regards

    Jesper

I think without log files you'll not receive help I guess :)
MP2 is able to play mkv files, make sure, that LAV is correctly installed and selected in the player settings.
Do not install any codec packs and remove them, if installed. They mess up the system and usually cause such problems.
