Hi,
Sinds I had a crash and had to reinstall MP I have a problem. When starting MP I see a red screen telling me the skin is outdated (regards which skin I choose). But the version number of all my skins have the same version number (when I check reference.xml)
So it seems the check for the correct skin version is not working correctly anymore.

Can anybody tell me how I can fix this?

:D

What version number is listed in the reference.xml's? For the message to go away the version number has to be the same as mediaportal (1.0.0.0).

Also after running MP a couple times with that message, you'll be given an option to not be shown the message again. Try restarting the program a couple times until you do. I see you're running vista, so it might be a good idea to run MP as admin when you check that box, as to be sure the option is applied.

Give it a try and let us know if it works. =)

The reference.xml version all say 1.0.0.0 (which is the same version as MP). And even the B3W skin says it's outdated

Before I deleted the cash in ProgramData I have seen the checkbox and tried it but it didn't help. So I'll try it again as admin when I get the checkbox option again.

Thanks for helping :)

<version>1.0.0.0</version> is correct

0.9.4.0, that's RC4

Think you need to read and take action according to rekenaar's post

https://forum.team-mediaportal.com/354413-post2.html

I solved the problem by uninstalling everything and install it from the bottom up. So I didn't copy files from the backup directories which are made if you uninstall MP.
I decided to do this because there where more thinks going wrong (like strange behavior is the power management plugins).

Thanks everybody for helping me out.
