    Hi all Terratec 2400i users!

For some time I have been struggling with MyTV freezing after a few minutes after MP resuming from standby. For a long time I have assumed this had to do with TVServer but I'm not so sure anymore...

It seems as I only get these freezes when MP is resuming from S3 standby. When I resume from S1 standby I have not been able to reproduce the problem. Since it is not entirely deterministic I can not say for 100% this is the case but I'm pretty sure.

I've tried with both TV3E and TV2E and I get the same problem. With TV3E I get an error like "Repainting frame 0" while TV2E report loss of signal quality (signal strength still at 100%). This only happens with MP and I have not been able to reproduce this with Terratec's own PVR application.

I've tried with the latest released BDA driver from Terratec (266) as well as the beta-driver (283).

    Has anyone similar experience?

    /Peter

Do you let the tv-server re-init the tuners? Any difference with/without?

I am using 2400i but it doesn't freeze like you describe.

Under General settings there is now also a delay function for finding TVCards, it just makes sure the drivers have fully initiliased before tvserver locks onto them, seems to work pretty successfully with my T500 (15 sec delay).

ps. you need this in association with the reinitiliase set in powerscheduler.

    Hi Ray, Hi J-B-N,

I tried the "Reinit service" option but it didn't make any difference. I think this is at a lower level than MP.

I installed Terratec's Home Cinema SW and I got a freeze there as well. I've emailed their support and hope to get something useful back.

    /Peter

PS. I should have mentioned that the freeze does not happen immediately. It is typically after som 3-10 minutes I get the freeze. I have not been able to figure out if it is always the same delay but it happens "soon" after resume.

How did you find the terratec home cinema software? I love the fast channel changing, DVB-subtitles support, teletext support but I hate the interface.

    Hi pcmguire,

I guess the SW is OK but I didn't spend a lot of time testing it. It feels a bit crippled compared to MP and all functions you have there for radio, remote control configuration, etc, etc.

Nitram, sorry to hear you have the same issue. Same for me, it is not 100% reproducible but now that I use S1 standby instead I have not had a single freeze for several days...

Still no response from Terratec. Can you also log this with them to increase the pressure?

    /Peter

    Hi Nitram,

I was thinking... What MoBo do you have? I have an Abit Fatal1ty F-I90HD I think. Could it be something with the combo of TV-card and MoBo?

    /Peter
