I tried to watch a ts file . it's interlaced. no problem at all with the play . deinterlaced is very good via Ati Hw support through Coreavc dxva2 decoding.
But not way to watch the subtitles. as usual the subs are on an srt file. but it doesn't work.

    Any ideas?

Transport Stream (.ts) files are hardcoded to play with TsReader / tv player. There is no support for any external subtitle sources as it is pretty uncommon to have the broadcaster delivering the subtitles as some external files :)

You need to use some other splitter inside my videos to play the .ts file - either by renaming the extension to something else (ugy workaround) or by converting the .ts file with some video conversion tool.

You could just try to name it to .m2ts and hope that it will work well. =)

Note that in my Visualsubsync application modded for italiansubs.net I build a filter graph with the mpc - mpeg splitter (gabest) for the ts files (MPEG - TS tag from mediainfo). Maybe MP could be do the same .

I don't think so.. for all .ts files TSReader will be used.

I'm not sure if this is a good idea or not, but....

AFAIK, all .ts files created by Tv Server have an associated <video filename>.xml file. Maybe the MP video player could be modified to check if the matching .xml exists and use TsReader.ax in that case, or fall back to another splitter filter if not ?

Just a thought....but this 'all .ts files are opened by TsReader.ax in the video player' problem does keep cropping up....

I think TSReader works very good. =)

Yes, it does work well for DVB/ASTC streams (and has features specifically for those, like DVB subtitles and Teletext parsing support), but it's not that good as 'general' transport stream splitter - something like LAV is better in that situation.
