i found the problem @ my system.
ok not the problem - but a way to find "A" problem (without a solution)
but now i know that i can't use my hardware the way i want to use it.

i did a channel scan for every tuner i got in my system.
(normaly i only make ONE scan for all DVB-S cards and i mapp the other cards to the channels)

but this time i did a channel scan for every single tuner ...
and i found out that one PCI slot is not usable for DVB when the other PCI slot is
also used by a DVB card.

MePo channel scan said: nothing found
allthough all cards a in smooth and save and i had a good signal quality/level

(also augenscheinlich alle in ordnung in WIN und MePo

if its so .. you have a similar problem. :(

in the beginning (by testing the server) i had that problem
looking a HD channel (on the working card/slot)
and recording another chanel was not able.
couse one PCI slot did not work ...

@ etheesdad: Yes, the folders are correct (C:\Timeshift and D:\TV_Aufnahmen)

polarie: I have the same Problem,
While i am watching TV, i cant scan for channels on the other card, i get "nothing found" too.
Dont think that this is a ressource conflict. Windows tells me "no conflicts"

When i scan 4 channels with one card (A), it works.

Then i click on "scan" on the other card(B) (while scan is running on card A) i get "no signal" at card B
The scan on card B is done in a few seconds, without a result cause of no signal. Scan on Card A produces "nothing found" since i klicked scan on Card B (even when B has done his job)

    same as i had -

did u try one card in the first PCI slot?
and then put it out - put it back again in the second PCI slot?

to test if one card works in both PCI slots?

and just DO one scan by another - i never did both cards simultanious scanning
    maybe that helps

polarie: en: it doesnt bother me if you are writing in german, but we are in a global forum here ;-)

have checked it. Both cards are working in both PCI slots
only when i have plugged in both cards, they are not working as expected
[edit] when i do the scan step by step, i get that "nothing found" [/edit]

sorry for double post, but i think i found a way solving this problem (or to get near a solution)

could it be that our problem is an "IRQ conflict" ?

i tried to disable ACPI in Bios --> Bluescreen
so i tried to switch "computer" from ACPI to standard PC (in Hardware-Manager)
I restarted then, and switched ACPI in BIOS to "disable"
XP was starting up, and was installing all of my hardware (switching from ACPI to standard causes that XP reinstall every hardware)
My problem was that my USB mouse and keyboard was not installed early enough, so i could not click on "install later" and i have to reset my PC...
from this point my PC gets bluescreens every boot. I tried a whole day to install XP SP3 as a standard-PC but i get an "missing file error" while XP was installing :-(

I spent the last 2 Days for reinstalling XP, MP and my other software as a ACPI PC.
Right @ the moment i do a backup with acronis, so i dont have to reinstall my PC again when i am testing such things...

Maybe one of you could test to install a "standard PC"
you can do it when you press F5 while the message "Press F6 for third party drivers" appears. (this message could be an other, couse i translated it (only have a german XP), but i think you know what i mean :D

    moinsen Bendix,

i tried that in my Case - but didn't brought any good stuff at all.

my problem was a double MAC adress ... couse one of the TV-Cards has a MAC adress for SKY-DSL.
and it needs to be configered tha WOL will work again.
in ur case this wont help.

BUT i think u HAVE a IRQ conflict. or anything like that.

    (selbst erlebt) *g*

    i think the "missing-file-error" is a read-error on your cd/DVD ...
so it was in my case (had also that kind of error-message) - fixed it by using the WinXP DVD of my laptop.

    grüße
