Hi guys,

First of all thumbs up for all the great work on MP. This weekend I converted my Dell D600 laptop to a basic HTPC by installing MP. After installing the StreamedMP skin most of the features appeared to work. However, playing videos using the internal player doesn't work. After spending 1 night searching this forum, and tweaking different settings I am not sure how to fix this problem. Playing videos using windows mediaplayer, or VLC is no problem, using the internal player I get an error message. I also installed the SAF package.

Best,

Diederik

Think this is your problem, not a DX9 gpu.

    Quote from requirements page

Video card: DirectX 9 compatible video card with at least 128 MB of video memory such as:

    *

ATI Radeon series (9600 and above or X300 and above)
    *

NVIDIA GeForce, GeForce FX (5200 or above) and NForce series

    :sorry:

    Thanks for the fast reply!

Hmm bummer! Indeed it appears that the Ati Radeon Mobility 9000 chip is not DX9 compatible. I assume there's no workaround for this problem, other than using external players?
