Problems Playing DVD's (1 Viewer)

My Problem is that most dvd are playing normal but there a lot of dvd's that dont play it just go back to media portal and i have olso have a number of dvds that only play sound and no video, i have tried a external player (media player Classic) the dvd play perfect in mplayerc but if i do it true media portal than i have a black screen.

trying to fix this problem for a time now still nothing can you guys help me

i think it has to do with the custom resolution i use, because i use vga to scart rgb to an analog tv, resolution i use is 1024x576

btw, i dont seem to have any problems playing divx or xvid with mp

is that the problem?
