Hi Guys,
I'm trying to work out why my reception of satellite channels has reduced considerably.
I have updated the satellite tuning list for 28.2E; and out of 101 tp's I can get a signal on just 13 transponders, thus giving me about 100 channels. I normally get about 700 - odd. This is happening on both tuners (on the same card). I only noticed it today as I did a retune on the DVB-T cards to get Channel 5 +1 and thought I would do the same for DB-S/S2.
When it gets a signal the signal level indicator and signal quality indicator both show a good result, however it is only getting a signal on 13 transponders.
I am using a quad LNB could it be this that has failed?
Thanks in advance for any guidance.
If you need logs, please let me know which ones.
EDIT - SOLVED - My sat dish is on the south facing sde of my house. I live next to the village pub and I am seperated from the pub by a small lane. The pub has been having some building work done, and it looks like a tall truck had clipped the LNB and rotated it through 90 degrees. I had my ladders out and put it back to where it 'should' be and I am getting a decent signal again. The coincidence is that it happened yesterday just before I did a re-scan!
