Hi there,

I have a problem upgrading Moving pictures from 1.1.2. When I try to, I get in best case a non working Moving pictures. See also screen shot.
I did a clean install on a new Windows XP with the MovingPictures database. I tried a few combinations of Mediaportal and Moving Pictures version but even Mediaportal 1.2.0 Final and Moving pictures 1.2.3 I have the same problems - No other plugins Installed
Same on a Win 7 machine.

I already tried with an empty database. After a couple of hundred movies the moving picture plug in was freezing. I was not able to import all my movies again.

Oh, and sometimes Moving Pictures is not able to load the cover for a few Movies it was able before. Each move is in a single folder with a text file contains the imdb # and the cover named "folder.jpg" When am pointing MP to the cover by hand it says something like its not possible to load from specific url. When am just copy and pasting the "folder.jpg" and pointing MP to the "copy of folder.jpg" its working..?!?

Now am running MediaPortal 1.1.3 with Moving Pictures 1.1.2 its working for me

I guess i have done something wrong, but i have no idea what. Any suggestions what i can try to have the latest Mediaportal with the latest moving pictures?

Albert

Just to clarify, are these the problems you are reporting?

  1. The importer halts half way through.
  2. Some artwork is not downloaded.
  3. Nothing is displayed in the GUI.

For #1 try disabling mediainfo retrieval. This is under the gear icon in the Movie Importer tab.

As far as artwork not being downloaded the only errors I see in your log are the website not responding. Not much the plugin can do in that situation. But folder.jpg artwork should automatically be imported if you have that setting enabled. Make sure you have turned this feature on under the Importer Settings tab.

In your screenshot it shows the lock icon indicating parental controls are enabled. Is this intentional? Perhaps this is why you see nothing in the GUI.

AW: Problems with Moving Pictures >1.1.2

Thank you for your fast responds!

1. I try to reimport all my movies without automatic mediainfo retrieval now Will edit my post tomorrow when it's finished to let you know about the result.

2. I was not clear enough. After importing a movie everything was fine. All the details and the cover loaded from the (local) moviefolder as well. Then sometimes some covers ( not Backdrops) won't be loaded from the folder. When am trying to reassign I get the error message. Just by renaming / copy the picture from folder.jpg to copy of folder.jpg am able to get it back into moving pictures.

3. The most important point is, that the only thing I can see is what you can see on the screenshot when am using Movingpictures >1.1.2.
The parental controls on the GUI settings page is disabled. So I have no idea what is wrong.

So for problem #2 you are saying that the artwork loads fine but then later on it suddenly is no longer displayed? This is definately odd.. when this occurs can you please turn on debug logging in the MediaPortal config (not inside Moving Pictures config) then attempt to reassign the movie. Basically reproduce the reassign problem with debug logging turned on then post the log file here.

For problem #3 could you again make sure debug logging is turned on, launch into the GUI to reproduce the problem then post those logs? I don't see any errors that might cause the problem in your log above but it is only logging info messages.
