Problems with Skystar2 - only get 17 channels???? (1 Viewer)

Hey guys,

I'm using Mediaportal by myself with a cable-tuner and it works perfect. Now I did set up a box for a friend which uses a DVB-S Skystar2 PC tuner and I don't get the TV to work.
When I use the software which comes with the hardware it wirks fine but within MP the autoscan gets only 17 channels.
Does anyone has some experiences with it? I'm in germany and try to use Astra 19,2E.

I would be very thankful for a hint!

which version of mediaportal have you installed?
have you tried to launch autotune more than one time?

Also, You might want to check this site out:

They have a patch for the SS2... that might help you out... or it might not. It's worth a shot.. and it has to do with autotune.

Synopsis: Autotune only gets 17 channels. We tried autotune several times but still no luck. Manual tuning doesn't work to.
Do you know a card which works for sure? what about the haupauge DVB-S ones?

We downloadad a new driver from technisat and now it works!
