I use the xy-Vobsub-Filter from this page:
https://code.google.com/p/xy-vsfilter/
This is an advanced version that uses much less cpu power and it don't flicker at all if your video files have animated subtitles (for example Karaoke subtitles). It works perfectly with Mediaportal during playback of normal videos, the normal subtitle from mpc-hc flickers on videos that have animated subtitles (depends on your CPU).
However the vobsub filter causes a problem with the OSD of Mediaportal during TV playback if you press the INFO button on the remote.
I made a log file and I can reproduce the issue every time.
1) Play a video with subtitles.
2) Turn on TV mode.
3) Press the INFO button
4) No Info is displayed
The logfiles shows clearly that the problem is related to the vobsubfilter.
I really like the xy-vobsub filter because
- the subtitles are always in sync with the video
- animated subtitles don't flicker
The normal MPC-HC subtitle plugin
- is not in sync with the video (always 1-2 frames behind, problem with dshowhelper.dll)
- animated subtitles can flicker on some files
Is someone interested to solve this problem?
