    Hi there,

I have the following problem. Yesterday I had scheduled a recording and it started while I was watching liveTV. The recording started but the channel I was watching froze no sound as well. I wasn't able to switch channels as well. Like MP had only 1 tuner to its disposal. When I went to myTV from start menu, I switched TV off and on again and pronto: I had an image again with sound.

The problem sounds to me that MP has some difficulties finding a free tuner. I have the conflictmanager switched on in the TV server and set to resolve.

    Any help?

    regards Marcel

Can you repeat and use Start menu\mediaportal debug mode, amd then use post go advanced + feature to upload logs.

Couple of things, have you limited MSSQL memory as per here , also have you tried any other codecs, Like PDVD8 Trial, you can just use the codecs from this without registering the software.

Also are these recordings mpeg or ts, the later tends to be more stable.

Forgot, is this singleseat, if it is, does it make a difference with epg grabbing on\off for dvb

    Cheers

    Ray,

I have changed all settings for the database as written in the wiki pages and it works for now! I have tried 5 times to schedule a recording and watch another channel without a problem. Not even a stutter!
Thanks for putting my nose in the wiki pages... I should have read it much earlier of course.

Question: I know what TCP/IP is but what is named pipes? And why do I have to limit the MSSQL memory to 128MB and not to 1024MB?

By the way, this is a single seat installation.

    regards,
    Marcel
