Production ready or not? (1 Viewer)

Hello all,

in the past I remember that on past MP2 news I always saw the note that it is not production ready.
But I do not see this note on the recent news.

So whats up with MediaPortal 2 "Spring of '16" or 2.1 Pre? How stable is it, what is still missing?
I'm only watching TV with Mediaportal, so I only need EPG, Recording, Series Recording, Concurrent Recording, Playing, Automatic Wakeup.
I'm currently using MP1 and it's working good (except performance).

MP2.1 is a big step forward compared to Spring 16, though 2.1 is still in pre release so we are continuing to find and fix issues.
I can only suggest that you give it a try and see if it meets your needs, and if not any feedback as to why would be welcome. You can install MP2 in parallel to MP1, the only caveat is that you cannot run MP1's TV Server in parallel to MP2 so you would need to stop the TV Service prior to installing/running MP2.

Thanks, tried MP2.1 Pre 2 but sadly it is still far far away from ready to production.
