After a virgin installation of MP under Win 7 Pro, I get a dialog from the Windows Program Compatibility Assistant with the following text when I close TV Server Configuration (even if I close it with "Cancel"):
    Code:
This program might not have installed correctly.
If this program didn't install correctly, try reinstalling using settings that are compatible with this version of Windows.

    Program: SetupTV
    Publisher: Team MediaPortal
    Location: C:\Program Files\Team MediaPortal\...\SetupTV
    The dialog offers the options:
    Code:
    Reinstall using recommended settings
    This program installed correctly
    Cancel
I don't find any indication of errors in the TV Server installation log.
How can I find out what causes this message?
How should I respond to it? (for the time being, I have chosen "Cancel")
What is the best way to prevent it reappearing?

    TIA!

    Hi rsbrux

How can I find out what causes this message?
Google "program compatibility assistant" - that will tell you a little about how it works. I think it is just being a little hyper-sensitive in this case, maybe because TV Server is not software that Microsoft has on its default "compatible" list.

How should I respond to it? (for the time being, I have chosen "Cancel")
I just choose "program installed correctly".

What is the best way to prevent it reappearing?
    Choose "program installed correctly". :)

    Hi mm,
thxx for the quick response. I had in fact read all kinds of BS about the program compatibility assistant, but it didn't really help me understand why it complains about TVsetup.
IAC, I followed your (painfully obvious ;-) advice, and everything seems to work OK.
When this happened with my 1.20 RC installation, I chose the "reinstall" option, which was probably a mistake.
    Thanks for your help!
