TV:
When a program title doesn't fit in the upper bar it scrolls through the bar. But then three strange things happen. First, the title is getting placed out of focus on the leftside of the bar. Second, only the upperhalf of the letters is visible. Third, the scrolling is not smooth.

I can confirm this bug, but here it's the lower half which is visible.
Sorry, I was mistaken. Indeed only the lower half is visible.

Update\:
The same goes for the channelname.

    Can't you get arrested for allowing your lower half visible in public? <grin>

    Request:

    The font-size is to small to read when whatching album information or movie information. Also the scrolling speed is to fast. Maybe it's possible to make the scrollspeed customizable?

    I have a ten year old TV and use the skin @ 1024x768 :: 60Hz.

    you can always increase the font size by editing the fonts.xml in the specific skin folder like i always do:
    Code:
    <font>
        <name>font10</name>
        <filename>Arial</filename>
        <height>12</height>
      </font>

    originally it was "height" 10 and i changed it to 12, usually up to font 18 (at least with the blue two skin)

    for the scrolling speed: it is always customizable. if you enable the plugin "settings" in configuration you will be able to enter a configration in mediaportal where you can adjust the scroll speed and some other stuff, you'll see i guess.

    another (important) suggestion. you really shouldn't use 1024*768 with an old CRT (i also have one) the best solution would be 800*600 in the normal case, it's just as close to the Tv's resolution as possible if you don't want to mess around with tools to match the exact resolution.

    i always use 800*600 with bigger fonts and i can read everything in MP just fine. depends on how big the screen may be of course (-;

    at least you could try if your TV-out supports overscan to improve readability. but again, i'm just fine with the setting mentioned above[/code]

    edit: forgot to mention that after changing the fonts.xml you have to delete the fonts-folder - it will rebuild when staring MP again - to make sure that the skin uses the new size-setting

    Ok, thank you :) Will try that.

    I can use overscan, but when I use it, part of the screen doesn't fit on the TV somehow. I also can use the TV resolution (752x564 or something...). So I will try if that and see if readability increases.

    I have a 82 cm TV by the way (4:3)

    thats what i happen to have too. by the way, it's the meaning of overscan that somthing is cut out, so the rest can be "magnified" in MP settings again, you can adjust the gui to fit although you use overscan. again, i would not use it if it#s not neccessary. i also don't see anything when using 1024'-resolution (-;

    1024x768 works perfectly for me. But the image quality seems to be better at 720x567 (resolution = guesse). I I use overscan the image quality is even better.
    I've tried the caliration tool in the settings section. Callibratibg succeeded, but the skin still doesn't fit on the screen.... What am I doing wrong?

    If I configure my videocard to use "Overscan" (automaticly fit desktop to screen), a part of the desktop, and thus MP, falls outside screen. I think all graphic cards do this. So there is a calibrationtool included in MP, to compensate that. But it doesn't seem to work for me. Even after calibrating (seemingly succesfull) a part of MP isn't showing.

    bug: The settings screen isn't controllable with the MCE IR RC. There is no response. Have to do it with the mouse.
