Hello,
I installed Media Portal a few nights ago and have been trying to get my pvr-1600 to work correctly. I am trying to configure the application and when I click on Television/Capture Card/Add i get an error "unable to create graph for this device ". I have done some searching in the forums here and have tried a few of the suggestions, but I have not had any luck. I also have noticed most are saying that there ATSC is working but not the analog. I am having just the opposite problem. Analog seems to work, but the ATSC does not. what is the process to get this working?
Thanks.

Are you using the built-in TV engine or TV Server (TV3)? I recall reading somewhere that the server supports more cards. Maybe you can try it.

Alternatively you can try and follow this instructions.

    Good luck.

Thanks for the reply. It looks as though TV Server works. Is there any way to integrate this into the media portal application or plans to make the pvr-1600 one of the supported cards? I was hoping to have my music, pictures, movies, tv etc all running off of the same machine.

So you are able to view your channels in the server preview? If so, you are already MORE than half way there.

Part of the TV Server download is the TV Plugin. This part is the "integration" into MP. It basically replace the inbuilt TV engine with the capability to connect to the TV Server. Many clients (PC's) can connect to same server. Other advantage is that MediaPortal can be closed, and the server will still record scheduled programs.

If you carefully read the link regarding TV Server in my first reply, you will be up and running in no time.

Good luck and please let us know what your results are.

Thanks again for the reply. I have been trying to follow the directions through some of the video tutorials to try and setup the tv server for us in MediaPortal. i have tried getting it working numerous times, but when I go into MediaPortal and choose TV I get a spinning disc and then it says over the top of the spinning disc "Missing or invalid file". Any idea how i fix this?

Looks like it may have been the svn i installed. i went back to 12/27 and that kicked it into gear. it is real choppy so I will have to do a little searching to figure out how to get this to work a little better. Also, the guide data does not come in and I am a little confused why.

I can't really help you with the choppy video and the experts will definitely need much more information before they will be able to assist you. Example: system specs including graphics card. Log files - preferebly generated with the MPTesttool2.exe in your MediaPortal directory.

Same with the guide data. Need more info. Which process is used to get/import the guide data? webepg? xmltv? other? Log files again.
