PVR-500 dual card - one tuner black and white (1 Viewer)

I had been running windows media center and recently switched over to media portal. I installed it before doing a reformat and it picked up both Tuner's just fine in my PVR-500 where windows media center could only handle one. So, I proceeded to reformat my computer and put basic windows xp pro on it. Installed the hauppauge drivers (v 32), klite code pack standard (same thing I had installed before).

Now, one of my tuner's is fine but the other one just shows a black and white picture. Not sure why this is or how to fix it. I have been searching all over the internet and this site and haven't found an answer yet.

Any ideas?

Thanks.

CPU Type: Athlon XP 2400

What inputs are you using for the PVR card - Aerial (UHF), Composite Video or S-Video.

If you are using S-Video it could be that the source can only output in Composite. I guess an easy way to check would be to switch the 2 inputs round and see if the black and white picture switches to the other tuner. If so then it is an issue with your source and you will need to connect via Composite to your PVR card.

If you are not using S-Video then a bit more info might be helpful as to how you have got your system arranged

I have a single composite cable going to my card. It is a dual tuner card with single input. Like I mentioned before, it was working before I reformatted. I am guessing I am missing some kind of codec or driver or something. Not sure what though.

I'm kind of new to this so I'm not sure what other info you might be looking for.

Thanks.
