After I finally got rid of my timeshift problem (stuttering, only thing that helped was a fresh install of the whole system), everything seems to work, except recording.

I can watch TV with or without timeshifting, but when I start recording I see the message "XY is recording" and 1 second later, MP freezes (frozen picture, no sound). Only the task manager can help to end MP. When I restart MP, it starts recording immediately ("rec" in the upper right corner). I can then go to MyTV where I can watch another program (so the 2nd tuner seems to work) but sometimes I can't stop recording then (still can't reproduce this and now am too tired...)

    Any suggestions?

Is this happening only when you're watching a program then choose to record it, or to programs that you've previously scheduled to record in the guide too?

If I hit the record button while watching TV, I get the same problem with yesterdays CVS. It seems like a database error, if you look at your error log.

Scheduled recordings seem to work - just tried...

But when recording one channel in the background I can only watch tv without timeshifting. Switching timeshifting on gives me a bsod - still have to figure out what exactly goes wrong there. May be a compatibility issue with my Asus A7V266-E with VIA Kt266A chipset...

    cheers, Michael
