I have just experienced this same problem, too .... :(

There is nothing useful in any of the log files (MediaPortal or PVR Scheduler), but it looks like MediaPortal hangs at the point where PVR Scheduler is being updated by the new information that the scheduled recording has been manually stopped (I am assuming that this is how PVR Scheduler is working?). The only way to recover the PC is to do a hardware reset ....

STSC ... have you been able to reproduce this problem?

@ Taipan... I'm sorry to hear that you've started getting this problem :( but (you'll hate this) I'm happy that i'm not the only one experiencing this issue :) - I was worried it might be some major problem with my system.

Contrary to my earlier post, I am now able to reproduce this error just about every time I manually stop a PVR-S scheduled recording in MP. I too an convinced it is some way related to PVR-S crapping itself when it tries to update it's recording database. I've noticed that if I'm quick enough, straight after stopping the recording, I am able to press buttons and change a few screens in MP before the freeze occurs (e.g. go back a screen or two, or choose a new function. The windows for this is only 1-2 seconds. This seems to indicate that MP itself is not having a problem, but more likely PVR-S doesn't like updating it's recording scheduling while it is currently recording (or something similar). This is supported by the fact that only the screen seems to freeze... (as I mentioned in my first post) if you press buttons etc you can hear MP doing it's normal beeps, etc in the background and tv audio continues as normal... its just the screen that doesn't change.

As you mentioned Taipan, there doesn't appear to be anything really indicating an error in the logs of MP or PVR-S.

Hopefully STSC will be able to reproduce this error.

    Cheers
