do i have to uninstall the older svn version before installing svn14213?

I have installed svn 14213 but now i cannot configure anything...when i want to go to the x10 menu everything is grey (not active). It writes i do not have installed any x10 driver, but I have. I have even reinstall the recommend one, which is linked.
