quartz.dll What is it and why is it crashing ??? (2 Viewers)

And where did this new quartz.dll come from anyways ??

I believe it is actually an "old" version.

First, I just rebuilt my Media Portal system and have not reinstalled MP yet. So I don't exactly know how it will affect MP.

In my Beyond TV 4 box, I had problems with video overlay and deinterlaciing. This version of quartz is suppose to correct that. I did many changes to get BTV4 to show a smooth picture, so I can't say if this is a "magic pill" or not.

Make sure you rename and save the original quartz file, in another directory, so you can re-install it if needed.

If you search the Snapstream Troubleshooting and Support forums under Beyond TV and Beyond TV link for quartz.dll, you'll get alot of hits.

In re-reading my post, I see that I was incorrect. I was having trouble with 3D mode, not overlay.
