Bug?

On some radio channels, e.g. "181.FM Rock 181", "181.FM The Eagle" ...,
no "now playing" appears but the channel is playing correctly.
With these channels it is also not possible to stop (key "b") the steam!?

Installed RadioTime version: 0.6.3.0

Would it be okay if I posted a self-compiled version of RadioTime with support for MediaPortal 1.2.0 Beta (SVN)?

I noticed exactly the same issue with some WMAudio Channels on Win7 64bit. MP3 Streams all play fine.
I guess this is a codec problem coming with Win7. In Windows Vista 32bit for these channels AC3Filter was in use but I think Win7 blocks this decoder and wanted to use its own instead. Hopefully there will be a solution. Otherwise I try to unregister the wma decoders from Win7 manually if i find them.

Are you sure that's the problem? Because it sounds more like RadioTime (plugin) deciding not to use MePo internal player. Anyways, this has been bugging me too (Win7 32bit) so let us know if you figure it out! :)
    :D

Well, the radio stations work on my laptop with Vista 32 installed without any problems. So i guess its a codec problem.

I don't know how several wmaudio streams are decoded with Win7..
Here is the MediaPortal.log of playing "FM.181 Rock 181" on Windows Vista 32bit without any problems. AC3Filter was in use.

Attached a screen with decoder info of AC3Filter.

EDIT: By clicking on the radio site is see -> Content Type: audio/mpeg. So I guess the problem only appears by mpeg audio streams! Thats why AC3Filter kicks in on Win Vista. I enabled in the AC3Filter settings: Use for MPEG Audio. Strange that Win7 dont wanna use AC3 Filter for MPEG audio. I just wanna know which internal decoder Win7 uses for MPEG Audio..

EDIT2: I'm gonna test this soon: Using AC3Filter in Media Center. =)

This is one of my most used plugins.. Really awesome.. So; thanks!

One thing i mis, is that I can't add my favo podcasts. I love the podcast; DJ Tiesto's Clulife, from the follow URL: http://www.radio538.nl/clublife/podcast.xml

This podcast can i find on radiotime.com. So why not in this plugin?

I guess there is no chance to disable the internal mpeg audio decoder of win7. Its too aggressive and not recommended to unregister quartz.dll. ;) I hope Radiotime gets updated because i really like this plugin!

What do you propose we do in RadioTime?

I played the station on WinXP and it used internal player, everything worked. Same station on Win7 HTPC plays differently (I don't see music overlay and cannot even stop the player). So I'm not sure there is anything to do in RadioTime code..
