Hi there,


what do you think, how much MB of RAM do I need for Mediaportal and a constantly running Emule or Bittorrent?

Just to
- record via DVB-S (Thanks to Agree!)
- listening to MP3s
- use Emule

I've got an offer for 256MB DDR-RAM. Is it enough?
My HTPC would be powered by a Mobile Athlon 1600+.

Might be a bit of a squeeze. MP usually sits just under 80meg usage just watching television on mine. Isnt windows XP recommended for 512mb?

mh 2x256 with dual channel will be ok i think.

Whether I use 2x256 MB or just 1x512 MB is nearly the same. The advantage of Dualchannel is just about 1-2%.

Hmm, I think, I'll try it with 256MB and will upgrade, when it's necessary.

dualchannel 1-2% ? i think 10-20%
