Hi,

running for more than 8 years MP1 without any big problems...

When this week windows 10 upgrade came (upgraded from previous windows 10 where MP1 works perfect and fluently) I have now random freezes after 1 min. or 60 min. or 2h - not when watching any movie/TV but when beeing in the GUI - e.g. in the TV guide.

What I tried so far when the win 10 upgrade came on Friday: new installation of Nvidia Driver, reinstall of DX9 framework as the log file was hinting? on a DX9 problem. Same with Mustayaluca and standard skin:

Attached the last thing from log where it starts to hang.

Again - with the win10 version before the new update never had any problems...

Any hints are welcome...
Thanks

    Hello :)

Please attach full log files from the Watchdog tool. The sections you've posted are not sufficient to be able to help you.

Sorry, these log files do not help either. You are only providing the error log. I need the zip file from the Watchdog tool which contains all the log files.

    http://wiki.team-mediaportal.com/Forum/How_to_post_logs
    1. Close MediaPortal.
    2. Open the Watchdog tool (link on your desktop or in the Team MediaPortal folder in the start menu).
    3. Select option 3 ("export...").
    4. Click "proceed".
    5. Wait for the zip file to be created.
    6. Attach the zip file here.

and now the fully log attached - randomly freeze when in TV guide and switching between viewing TV and guide. But also happens from main screen...
Again before having the windows 10 1511 update MP1 was running smoothly without any problems - and except for the win10 1511 upgrade nothing was changed on HW or SW...

    Thanks

    Hello applebee1

Sorry for the slow response - it's been a busy week.

This looks like the same problem as reported here:
    https://forum.team-mediaportal.com/threads/ui-broken-and-frozen-dx-fails.132823/

Perhaps it's not a coincidence that you're both using NVidia GPUs.
Was your GPU driver also updated at the same time as the "autumn update"?
If yes, I suggest to try rolling back the driver update.

    Thanks for the hint...

I have also seen the post on "NVidia driver issue since 358.87" - looks quite familiar:

    [2015-11-20 10:17:56,391] [Error ] [MPMain ] [ERROR] - D3D: D3DERR_INVALIDCALL - presentation parameters might contain an invalid value

In the meantime I have again updated from Windows 10 version 1 to Windows 10 version 1511 to make sure something on the upgrade process went wrong.
But after some minutes or even hours same freeze again.
An old image with the Windows 10 first version runs perfectly even with Nvidia 358.91 driver installed

I will give it a try with 358.80 and report after a couple of days in use...

And yes - 8 years I did a lot of reading in the forum where most of the issues could be resolved by using the search function ;-)

Then maybe it's only an issue with both TH2 and newer NVidia drivers.
To try reproduce the issue you could try the steps described in that other thread. Give it a few tries by restarting MP before reaching any conclusion.
