Hey guys
I have been having this problem for quite some time now. My computer will randomly wake up with no button press by me and no show to be recorded, also there is no task scheduled for it to wake up to either. I walked in to my room to find it booting up so I am posting the logs from it right now. I dont know what it could be. I do not have WOL enabled so it isnt network based. I appreciate any help I can get on this, Thanks.

Hey man, logs don't give too much of an indication, unfortunately.

Pretty much everytime I've seen people reporting their MediaPortal PC waking unexpectedly is due to one of their input devices registering a signal .... most commonly it's a wireless keyboard or mouse.

What external USB devices do you have connected to the PC?

Cheers,
Craig

Hey, Thanks for your response. I have a logitech wireless keyboard and mouse combo, but they are set to not wake up the computer. I can move the mouse and it wont wake up the computer, also with the keyboard it wont wake up the computer if I hit a key. I do have four logitech wireless controllers hooked up as well but I take the batteries out when I am not using them. I will look into this though and see if I can find something out about it. Thanks again.

Just a shot in the dark, but you do not have a LAN card set up to WOL? If so it should at least be set to only react on magic packets.

My LAN is onboard and it is not set to wake on LAN. I am wondering if MP can WOL with magic packets enabled.
