The MyPictures plugin sometimes skips images. When I browse through my photos manually (no automatic slideshow) it just leaves out some of them without any reason. Sometimes it skips one photo, sometimes more. I use the Microsoft MCE remote (European 2005 model) and browse with the left/right buttons.

It's not that simple to reproduce, because when I browse through the same image folder the next time, it may or may not skip images again - so sometimes it happens, sometimes it doesn't.

Please have a look at this log - when you look at the parts saying "...Photo 03x.jpg" you can see that MediaPortal loads and displays the photos 32-35, skips no. 36, shows 37, skips 38, shows 39 and 40. It's only a part of the whole log, of course.

Yes, I can confirm this!

It happened when we wanted to watch a set of new photos from my sons´trip to England.

I am not sure if we watched it as slideshow or manual. Probably manual.

It was still with rc2 + a late cvs.

I have seen something similar the other day. Have you tried changing the view (using big icons seemed to skip pictures but not when using list view).

I always used list view, and tried big icons and others, but the skip keeps on.

And it's too slow loading next images... it's normal?

I'm always using list view as well, but in fullscreen mode this shouldn't change anything if I'm not mistaken.
Loading images is quite slow here as well, but that's because most of my photos are about 500-1000 kilobytes each and are transferred via WLAN - at least I think that's the reason.
But of course this doesn't explain the random skips. :/
