Thanks vvulture, already did that, had to as I'm actually using that turner card and it keep causing WHS to crash. Lets hope the reinstall fixed the problem.

This has already been covered in a couple of threads.

There is an update to the BDA driver system included in WMP11. Why MS have done it this way I have no idea, but thats why WMP11 is required for MP RC3

But why is it required just for the client installation too?

The official line (as stated by Infinityloop in the DVB-patch thread) is that all PCs should be up to the same patch level so the same configuration is required for clients and servers. It's supposed to reduce the chances of confusion.
