Hi just a quick question on the new RC release.

I have a dedicated Server install running RC2, a client on RC2 (and working OK) and another client Ive upgraded to RC3.

The latter machine installed OK and have entered the IP Address for the server. HOwever when running MyTV it comes back with the Change Address interface and then can't connect to database. The other client still works OK. Do all machines need to go to RC3?

There is nothing shown in the Error Log

I had a similar situation like yours.
You have to upgrade the server to RC3.
All the RC2 clients will work with RC3 server.....
Awesome thx ... seems a bizaare dependancy as it would seem to suggest something different in the way it connects to the database, which shouldnt chnage as its just TCP on a specific port.

I can't check, but the actualy database names have changed within the DB server (MySQL or SQLServer Express). It used to be MpTvRC2 or somethign like that, I would presume it has at least been changed to RC3 in that name. The Clent for RC3 will be looking for that appropriately named database as it connects directly, not through the TVServer as that is just a TV server (as the name implies)

    Same here!

Interresting, the radio still works (at least web radio as this is the only thing I use). So I will have to install the TV Server RC3!

    Thanks for the info!
