Hi there,
I use a combination of MediaPortal and the latet MCE Standby Tool to get MediaPortal playing nicely with Standby / Resume functionality.
However - Since doing a fresh install of RC3 I've been having more problems with resume than pre RC3. The main issue I have is mediaportal not closing the process when told. It remains running in Task Manager until I manually kill the process.
The easiest way for me to reproduce this is:
1) Disable the MCE Standby Tool (I.e., set it to not stop or restart MP).
2) Run MP.
3) Put the machine to sleep.
4) Resume the machine.
At this point, I am presented with my machines desktop. If I check the task manager, sure enough - MP is still running.
This appears to cause issues with the likes of MPStandbyHandler since it thinks MP is already running.
When the MCE Standby Tool is setup - mediaportal will restart on Resume, however - there's now 2 processes running. If I were to sleep / resume again - I'd have 3 processes running.
I hope someone can help! I've disabled the watchdog, so have zipped the logs and attached here manually.
Also - It's worth noting that I use DriveXML for backups, so when I say a "clean system" it means I've reverted back to a previous backup, and done a completely fresh install of RC3 - so this shouldn't be related to an upgrade issue.
Any clarification or help would be great, it's really doing my head in!
