RC3 GUI Sluggishness after a few days (1 Viewer)

One thing I'm going to try is shutting down MP when I leave that activity. I have a harmony remote and it would be possible to exit MP after I leave the activity. Then I can start MP when I press the "Media Portal" activity.
Unless some plugins run by default that I'm unaware of, I think I run about as clean an MP install as possible. But I'll double check and report back.

I started this at 10:51 am. I set a scheduled task (anything really) to start at 10:55 and checked "wake computer from standby". I enabled hibernation and put the PC in hibernation mode.
I started a ping htpc -t (constant ping) and to my surprise 4 minutes later it actually came out of hibernation and the scrolling is smooth. Now, if I can just get ATI drivers to detect my TV even when its not on I'll be set.

I have the same issue in RC3 and I definitely have problems with memory, since the computer starts swapping until I reboot it. Happens when it has been on for at least one day. A restart of the application is not helping, however a reboot does. Ill try to test some of the ideas above to see if I can get more info about this...
BTW, I have quite frequent crashes of the app also (every 24-48h)...

I did a fresh reinstall of the OS using Catalyst 8.10 drivers. I have a base image of XP with nearly nothing on it that I created after I setup my HTPC first. This makes "installing" windows again much easier.
With 8.10 I can reboot and it detects the TV even if the TV isn't on. Previously this was not the case and my trouble ticket with ATI indicated there was no way to have component detect if the TV wasn't on.
So now I just reboot every morning at 6am. Its easier than Hibernation, more predictable too.
I'm using Wizmo to reboot / hibernate - it seems more reliable than other methods I've seen.

Yeah, I also setup the exact same system. I'd call it more of a workaround than a fix, but it does temporarily resolve the issue.
I really do wish we could get to the bottom of this, though. I'd rather have 100% uptime (or as close to it as possible) since my HTPC is also acting as a NAS device!

I've done some more testing and the only solution is to restart the TV-server, then the system comes back into play. Any proposals for a good SVN build of RC3 instead of the "genuine" RC3?
