I did a complete uninstall of TVE3 & SQL a couple of nights ago. On the install of RC3, I selected custom & picked server only install. When I proceeded, the installer threw an error of being unable to download the config file. Selecting OK aborted the installer. I re-ran the installer & selected the exact same options, & it completed without error.

I then went upstairs & did a complete uninstall of the client. Ran the RC3 installer & selected custom, & picked client only. The installer threw the same error msg on this machine. Again, a second install attempt with the exact same options went off without a hitch.

I checked the install log on the server, & it shows no errors. I don't know if that's because this error is happening before logging starts, or whether the 2nd install attempt overwrote the first failed install log.
