Hi,
While I had had no issues to update from RC2 -> RC3, doing the same for RC3 - >RC4 threw a .NET Framework exception when trying to update the TVServer piece, leaving me with an only partially updated and therefore non-functional installation. I apologize for not having screen dumped the error message.
Running a system restore to return to the previous setup messed up the MP installation. Fortunately running the RC4 installer once again yielded a fully functional installation with all user data preserved.

Actually I experienced exactly this behavior for RC4 rather than for RC3...The most important fix is about the issue some users experienced where the installer was not able to stop the TV Service properly.
This resulted in the problem that the new version could not be installed and the TV-Server failed.
